Swimming with Manta Rays in Indonesia

The waters of Indonesia are home to magnificent manta rays. Swimming together with these gentle giants is an unforgettable experience that highlights the beauty of the underwater world. There are two options to swim with Mantas in Indonesia. The first is to book a day tour starting Bali to visit Manta Point Nusa Penida.

The second option (and this is what we did) is to book a round trip starting in Flores which visits Komodo, Padar and Manta Point.

For fans of video games, a visit to Nintendo World in Universal Studios Japan is a dream come true. It’s a vibrant, interactive experience that brings beloved games to life. Tickets are about 57$.

Sleeping in the Desert in Jordan

There’s nothing quite like the silence and beauty of the desert at night, with a canopy of stars overhead. We have been visiting Varanasi in January 2024 and witnessed how dead bodies got burned and their ashes thrown into the Ganges – a special experience but made not for everyone!

Volunteer with Animals such as Elephants in Sri Lanka or Thailand

Contributing to the welfare of elephants in sanctuaries offers a chance to make a difference while experiencing these magnificent creatures up close. Unfortunately, I haven’t been volunteering with elephants yet but with stray dogs which was also a very rewarding experience that I would recommend to any traveler.
